On Tuesday Rustin was walking up to the house after coming home from the babysitter and he always crawls up the stairs by himself. This time he got to the top of the stairs and decided to do a head-stand then lost his balance and fell down to the concrete. His head hit so hard and his was petrified and screaming.
I ran him into the house where Dustin was sleeping (He works at night now, so he's sleeping during the day), and started to cry myself. I got an icepack and held him tight, but it didn't matter, Rustin was still very hurt.
I called my Dad to be reassured that I was still a good mother, and put on Yo Gabba Gabba (my savior in times of distress) and we both calmed down. He is fine now, but I need to remember this will not be the last time. He is a true boy, the next night he bit his lip so hard it bled pretty bad, and everyday I swear I find a new bruise or cut somewhere on his body.
This picture of Rustin is the day after in the bath obviously, his is still so cute with his little cut under his nose and big bruise

Poor Baby Rustin! He's still ADORABLE! Remember, you're firmly in the "black and blue" years--about 3 more to go, and the it gets a little bit better. Also remember: SUGAR stops bleeding--and it tastes good. That tidbit will come in handy!
Love you guys and miss you! Give that cute boy a big hug and KISS from Auntie Maree and the gang.
Heidi - You do a great job as a Mom. Just remind Mom and I why were are happy to be Grandparents and not parents again.
Hang in there - you do a great job.
Look at my boyfriend! He is even adorable with his new "make-up". You rock (& Rustin rolls!)... keep up the good work.

Ouch! What a goose egg! Give him a kiss for me! That's the fun part about boys... they are always getting bumps and bruises, and you are definitely still a good mom! Love you all!
